The purpose of the Architectural Control Committee is to help maintain the unique look and feel of The Villas of Almaden by reviewing homeowner requests for exterior modifications—such as repairs, repainting, or renovations.
The committee meets as needed to review applications and ensure proposed changes align with community standards. Once a project is approved and completed, a follow-up inspection is conducted to confirm that the work matches the approved plans.
As outlined in the CC&Rs, if exterior work is completed outside of the Villas’ scheduled painting projects, homeowners are responsible for painting the new construction to match the existing home. Be sure to contact the Architectural Committee to confirm the correct exterior paint colors for your address.
In addition to reviewing applications, the committee serves as a helpful liaison between residents and the Board, offering guidance and support on architectural matters.
